SMFS Members Nominated for the 2023 The Crime Writers of Canada Awards of Excellence

  

Several SMFS list members were nominated earlier this week for the Crime Writers of Canada Awards of Excellence. There are ten categories with five finalists in each category. SMFS members are finalists in two categories. Winners will be announced on Thursday, May 25^th. The SMFS members who reported their presence as finalists are:

SMFS Member Award News: Elaine Viets is a Finalist for a Royal Palm Literary Award

SMFS list member Elaine Viet’s short story, We Are the People Our Parents Warned Us About, which appeared in The Great Filling Station Holdup: Crime Fiction Inspired by the Songs of Jimmy Buffett (editor Josh Pachter) is a finalist for a Royal Palm Literary Award. The winners will be announced tonight at the awards banquet during Florida WritersCon 2022. Video announcement of the finalists can be found on the website of the Florida Writers Association.

Killer Nashville’s 2019 Silver Falchion Award SMFS Member Finalists

The SMFS is proud to announce that again this year members of the SMFS have been nominated for the 2019 Silver Falchion Awards.
