SMFS Member Publishing News: A Necessary, Dangerous Thing by Gabriela Stiteler

 

SMFS list member Gabriela Stiteler reported that her short story, A Necessary, Dangerous Thing, appears in the anthology, Shotgun Honey Presents: At The Edge of Darkness. Today is publication day for this sixth anthology from Shotgun Honey Books. The book is available from the publisher, Amazon, and other vendors.

SMFS Members Nominated for the 2024 Edgar Awards


The nominees for 2024 Edgar Awards, so named to honor Edgar Allen Poe, have been announced by the Mystery Writers of America. Winners will be announced on May 1st, as noted on the MWA website. The website also has the full list of nominees. The SMFS list members that reported their nominations are:

 

SMFS list member Scott Von Doviak is nominated in the Best Paperback Original category for his book, Lowdown Road. The book was published by Hard Case Crime.

 

SMFS list member Gabriela Stiteler is nominated for the Robert L. Fish Award for her short story, Two Hours West of Nothing. The story was published in Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine: September/October 2023 issue.
