SMFS list member Ashley-Ruth Bernier is a 2024 Barbara
Neely Grant Recipient. Created to honor Barbara Neely by Mystery Writers of
America, the grant is designed to honor Ms. Neely’s memory and to do so by
supporting Black crime and mystery writers. More details about the grant can be
