Publisher Description:
One of the rising stars of the last several years has been author Edith Maxwell, who also writes as Maddie Day. Her works in traditional mystery have included a number of series characters, including Rose Carroll, a Quaker midwife of the 19th century, whose complete short works appear in this Crippen & Landru collection for the first time. Maxwell has added new stories to this book, which include mysteries from the perspective of other characters near and dear to Rose.
Edith Maxwell writes the Agatha Award-winning and
Macavity-nominated Quaker Midwife Mysteries and Agatha-nominated short crime
fiction. As Maddie Day, Maxwell pens the Country Store Mysteries, the Cozy
Capers Book Group Mysteries, and the Cece Barton Mysteries. She’s a proud
lifetime member of Sisters in Crime and a member of Mystery Writers of America.
Maxwell lives north of Boston, where she writes, gardens, cooks, and
wastes time on Facebook. Find her (and Maddie) at EdithMaxwell.com, wickedauthors.com, Mystery
Lovers’ Kitchen, and on social media under both names.
