From the group keeping mystery & crime stories in the public eye since 1996
Thanks for the review. I'm very grateful to Robert Lopresti and SMFS for this but, just to clarify, my name is William Burton McCormick.
Good story, but I was confused by the ending. He calls Cicero a fool, he asks for forgiveness, giving me the idea he's decided not to save the townsfolk. But then he alerts the guards about voices in cistern. Am I missing something?
