Several SMFS list members won awards at the Killer Nashville Conference last weekend. The full list of winners can be found at the website. The SMFS list members who received awards are listed below:
Debra H. Goldstein won a Silver Falchion Award in the “Best
Book By An Attending Author” category for Five
Belles Too Many: A Sarah Blair Mystery (Kensington Books).
James L’Etoile won a Silver Falchion Award in the “Best
Investigator” category for Dead
Drop: A Detective Nathan Parker Novel (Level Best Books).
Robert Mangeot won the “2023 SEMWA Magnolia Award” for
service to the Southeast Regional Chapter (SEMWA) of the Mystery Writers of
America.
Cynthia Rice won a Killer Nashville Claymore Award in
The Best First Fifty Unpublished Pages in the “Suspense” category for The
Last Broken Girl. The book is scheduled to be published in 2024 by The
Wild Rose Press.
Lori Robbons won a Silver Falchion Award in the “Best Cozy”
category for Murder in Third Position: An On Pointe Mystery (Level
Best Books).
Jennifer and Jessica Slee won a Killer Nashville
Claymore Award in The Best First Fifty Unpublished Pages in the “Literary” category
for Perfect Fifth.
