On April 21, Crime Writers of Canada announced the shortlists for its 2016 Arthur Ellis Awards.
Among the nominees are SMFS members M.H. Callway for Best Novella, Karen Abrahamson and Hilary Davidson for Best Short Story, and Jayne Barnard for Best Unpublished First Crime Novel.
The winners, announced May 26, included SMFS member Jayne Barnard's When the Flood Falls taking the Dundurn Unhanged Arthur for Best Unpublished First Crime Novel.
